Donald Trump’s tough week continues to get worse. After the release of a transcript of Trump’s call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy earlier this week, an urgent whistleblower complaint has been declassified and released to the public. The complaint regards the call and claims Trump asked Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden while also alleging a cover-up later on.
“I found the allegations deeply disturbing,” said House Intelligence chairman Adam Schiff, D-California, via CNN. “I also found them deeply credible and I understand why the inspector general found them credible.”
The complaint was initially sent to acting Director of National Intelligence, Joseph Maguire, on August 26.
However, the complaint was never forwarded to the House and Senate intelligence committees.

The intelligence community inspector general last week suggested that the whistleblower complaint that triggered the Ukraine-Trump drama, raised concerns about multiple actions, sources told CNN. However, the inspector general — who spoke at a closed-door briefing last week — would not say if those instances involved Trump, the sources said.
The whistleblower has not been identified but it is believed that they could testify before congress.
Trump, meanwhile vows for “full transparency on the so-called whistleblower information” after its public release.
The whistleblower complaint also comes at a time when House Democrats officially opened a formal impeachment inquiry into the president following the latest drama with the Ukranian president while Trump also continues to push conspiracy theories about former Vice President Joe Biden and his son’s dealings with the foreign country.
While Trump has only briefly commented on whistleblower complaint, it will be interesting to see how the president reacts to the continuing developments with acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire appearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee publicly discussed the allegations included in the five-page document on Thursday, September 26.
