Jacksonville Jaguars defensive back Jalen Ramsey has requested a trade from the organization. During an appearance on Nate Burleson’s 17 Weeks podcast, Ramsey discussed his decision to ask for his departure from the game.
According to Ramsey, the reason he decided to request a trade was because of issues with the team’s front office.
“It was something that has kinda been building over a little bit of time. It has nothing to do with my teammates here. I love all my teammates here. It has nothing to do with the city. I love the city here. Still doing my charity work here. Still out with the fans, signing autographs, taking pictures, whatever it may be,” Ramsey said. “I love the city here. I love my teammates. But it was more so with the front office and the organization.
“Some disrespectful things were said on their end that made me definitely walk out and call my agent as soon as I walked out. I said, ‘It’s time. My time is up here in Jacksonville.’ I said, ‘I want to ask for a trade.'”

The comments from Ramsey came shortly before the Jaguars took on the Tennessee Titans. Jacksonville ultimately scored a 20-7 win.
Up next for the Jaguars is a meeting with the Denver Broncos on Sunday, September 29. Kickoff between the two teams at Empower Field at Mile High is set for 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
