After Donald Glover helped reboot The Lion King with its live-action remake, he’s reintroducing the track “Lost in You” with his latest performance as Childish Gambino. Gambino appeared on Triple J and covered the 1999 hit “Lost in You” by Garth Brooks, who released the track as part of a project under his alter ego Chris Gaines.
Gambino delivered a soulful rendition of the song with the help of a background chorus.
The one-off project from Garth Brooks by his rock persona netted two charting Billboard singles. “Lost in You” found its way into the Top 5 in the pop charts. The two-time platinum record was titled The Life of Chris Gaines and was released by Capital Records.
