Lil Nas X has finally dropped his highly-anticipated 7 – EP on Friday, June 21. The extended play features Lil Nas X’s viral hit “Old Town Road” and the remix featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, along with his newest single “Panini” which dropped less than 24 hours before the EP dropped this week.
The project features 8 tracks and runs 18 minutes.
Lil Nas X’s 7 – EP features two high-profile collaborates with none other than rap megastar Cardi B and OneRepublic singer Ryan Tedder. The project features some catchy and unique tunes that span multiple genres as the overnight sensation attempts to prove that he is much more than a viral one-hit wonder.
The musician previously said that the newest single “Panini” was the first song that he has ever recorded in a professional studio.
“That was for me it was the first song that I did in like a professional studio,” Nas X said in an interview ahead of the EP’s release. “‘Old Town Road’ wasn’t done in a professional studio, that’s the thing. It was never even mixed and mastered. Like the song that you hear today, it’s not mixed or mastered. That’s from the $20 bucks I paid the rough mix. It was crazy, but it’s like everything else, like lately in my life. You just like, you know a quick adjust. And you know just get ready to move onto the next step or whatever.”
