Taylor Swift dropped some highly-anticipated new music on Friday, June 14 with the new single “You Need to Calm Down” which will serve as the second single off of her upcoming album. Swift confirmed her new album — an 18-track project titled Lover — during an Instagram Live session on Thursday.
“It’s very romantic and not just simply fanatically like it’s all love songs or something,” she said. “I think that romance can be found in loneliness or sadness or going through conflicts in your life. [The album] just looks at things in a romantic gaze.”
Lover will be Swift’s seventh studio album.
As for the new single “You Need to Calm Down,” fans will get to see the official music video drop on Monday, June 17.
