Here's AOC & Elizabeth Warren Breaking Down 'Game of Thrones' If You're Into Masochism

If you’re the type of person that derives pleasure out of pain, then boy oh boy do we have something for you to sink your masochistic teeth into: Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Elizabeth Warren breaking down the series finale of Game of Thrones.

Likely in an effort to prove “ah shucks, they’re just like the rest of us!”, upstart firebrand New York City Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Massachusettes Senator Elizabeth Warren decided it would be a good idea to hop in front of a camera and give their thoughts on the highly divisive Game of Thrones series finale, “The Iron Throne”.
In a truly unsurprising turn of events, the discussion quickly delved into the gender politics of the show’s final episode and their treatment of Daenerys Targaryen and Sansa Stark in the final season as a whole.

As for the actual analysis of the episode (such as, I don’t know, Westeros’ installation of a new system of governing, something that actual politicians would be able to speak on), Ocasio-Cortez and Warren mostly focus on how the finale treated two of the series’ most powerful female characters: Daenerys Targaryen and Sansa Stark.
There’s also not a single mention of Arya Stark, which is odd, considering she’s not only one of the show’s major female characters but also arguably its fiercest warrior.
While coming off as seemingly relatively down-to-Earth is a key part of today’s modern political landscape, the contrived nature of this Game of Thrones breakdown will likely have the opposite effect on the two Democratic party stars.

HBO’s Emmy Award-winning and record-breaking fantasy drama series ‘Game of Thrones’ — which first premiered on April 17, 2011 — concluded its epic eight-season run on Sunday, May 19.
