The New York City Police Department and the bomb squad is investigated a suspicious package that was found in the Financial District of Manhattan, New York City, on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 23.
Specifically, the package — which still has no description — was found near Broadway & Liberty St.
Police have asked civilians to avoid the area while the investigation into the package is underway.
The NYPD Emergency Service Unit was also on the scene to respond to the suspicious package.
The New York City Police Department has yet to provide a description of the package or any further information regarding the investigation.
Additionally, there were no reports of any injuries or fatalities at this time.
