Get excited, Taylor Swift fans. In less than two weeks, Taylor will be releasing some brand new music. We aren’t quite sure whether the big release will be an entire album or a single, but anytime she brings some new music we know it is going to be dominating the airwaves and taking over every radio station.
So, when will the new music be dropped?
On Friday, April 12, Taylor Swift got her fans in a frenzy when she updated her Twitter bio to “4.26.” Swift has not tweeted since December 2018, so the minute she updated her Twitter profile everyone took notice.
If that wasn’t enough to clue fans in that April 26 meant new music from Swift, she also updated her Instagram profile and added a countdown clock on TaylorSwift.com.
She even captioned her most recent Instagram post “4.26,” so we know this is really happening.
Taylor Swift has not released a new album since November 2017. So while fans eagerly await her seventh studio album, any sign that new music is coming is welcomed news. And, in fact, at the iHeart Radio Music Awards, Swift hinted that new music could soon be on the way while accepting the award for Tour of the Year.
“I love your passion,” she said during her acceptance speech. “I love your attention to detail. I love how much you care. When there’s new music, you’ll be the first to know.”
So, what will it be? When April 26 rolls around will we be getting a new single, a couple of songs, or the highly-anticipated full album? I guess we will just have to wait and see.
