Patrick Carlineo Jr. learned that you cannot use hateful rhetoric online without repercussions, despite who you are a fan of and what you are encouraged to say. Recently, the 55-year-old Trump-supporting New Yorker was arrested on a criminal complaint after he threatened to kill Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.
Omar is the first Muslim woman and first Somali-American to be elected to the House of Representatives and she has consistently found herself in the crosshairs of critics.
The threats from Carlineo, however, went well over the line.
Carlineo has since been charged by criminal complaint with threatening to assault and murder a United States official. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Brett A. Harvey, Carlineo called the Minnesota Congresswoman’s office and spoke to a staff member on March 21.

“Do you work for the Muslim Brotherhood? Why are you working for her, she’s a (expletive) terrorist. I’ll put a bullet in her (expletive) skull,” Carlineo allegedly said, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York.
He also added: “if our forefathers were still alive, they’d put a bullet in her head.”
The news isn’t terribly surprising, considering some digging from Heavy which shows his Facebook page is full of Islamophobic and racist remarks.
In one post, he wrote:
“So why wasn’t the National Anthem offensive when obama was president? F*ck the NAAPC [sic].
“No I just get sick of hearing the anti-Trump silverbacks crying every f*cking day about bullsh*t. The NAACP is a bunch of racist motherf*ckers that act like they just came out of the cotton fields. This president has done more by himself than the muslim did in 8 years. So tired of hearing the lies. It’s not hate Uncle…, it’s just hearing enough of the resistance antifa f*gs, etc. Democrats only obstruct, that’s not what our founding fathers wanted I’m sure. You guys still cheerlead for a muslim plant that gave Iran 150 billion in cash, went and played golf with a smirk when that guy was burned alive. Hard to believe you would support a man that hates Christians. But he is a good speaker.”
Carlineo remains in federal custody and will remain in police custody until an initial appearance this afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Marian W. Payson and is being held pending a detention hearing on April 10, 2019, at 10:30 a.m.”
