The 2019 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament is in Tampa, Florida to officially tip-off the Final Four of the Big Dance at Amalie Arena. The Final Four begins on Friday, April 5, with the national championship game set to take place on Sunday, April 7. In the second of the two national semifinals, the No. 1 seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish take on the No. 2 UConn Huskies.
Notre Dame was able to run through the Chicago Region with its toughest test coming against No. 4 seed Texas A&M. The Fighting Irish also knocked off No. 16 Bethune-Cookman, No. 9 Michigan State, and No. 2 Stanford.
UConn, meanwhile, had some closer calls, but still managed to get past No. 15 Towson, No. 10 Buffalo, No. 6 UCLA, and No. 1 Louisville.
