Domeanna Spell, a 15-year-old girl from Louisiana, has been missing since Thursday, March 28 when she got off her school bus at Port Barre High School around 7:00 a.m. According to reports, Spell is believed to have run away with 47-year-old Cory Disotell, who is described as a family friend.
Disotell is from Port Barre, Louisiana and is believed to be traveling in a silver 2003 Honda Civic. Disotell had previously told Domeanna’s parents that he wanted to marry her, and the parents told him to never come around again.
Disotell does not have a criminal record, but he was previously married and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the Louisiana Middle Bankruptcy Court.
According to the police report, authorities believe Domeanna may have changed her appearance in order to conceal her identity. Among the suspected changes are Domeanna potentially dying her hair and getting rid of her glasses in favor of colored contacts.
Domeanna is 5-foot-2, 105 pounds.
From Inside Edition:
Cradeur said a student saw her walk across the street from the school and get into a car with a man believed to be Disotell. The girl’s family learned months ago that she and Disotell had a secret relationship, Cradeur said. The man had hired Domeanna to babysit his granddaughter on weekends, she said. But the family learned he had no grandchildren. Disotell gave the girl money to make it look like he was paying her to babysit, her sister said.
However, the two continued seeing each other.
Domeanna’s family believes that Disotell may have brainwashed their daughter into believing that she is in love with him.
