After two weeks without football, the NFL returns for the biggest and final game of the season as the New England Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII.
On their route to the Super Bowl, the Los Angeles Rams — who were the #2 overall seed in the NFC — beat the Dallas Cowboys at home by a score of 30-22 before traveling to New Orleans where they beat the New Orleans Saints by a score of 26-23, although in extremely controversial fashion.
As for the Patriots, also the #2 overall seed in the AFC, they began their postseason run by taking down Phillip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers in the Divisional Round by a score of 41-28. Tom Brady and the Patriots then traveled to Kansas City where the upset Patrick Mahomes and the #1 seed Chiefs by a score of 37-31.
Heading into the big game, the Patriots — who are appearing in their fourth Super Bowl in the last five years — are favored by 2.5 points over the underdog Rams, who are led by Sean McVay, the youngest coach to ever lead a team to the Super Bowl.
Additionally, because both teams boast such potent attacks, the point total betting line has been set at 56.5.
