Penn State Athletes Being Investigated Over Fraternity Fight

According to reports, Penn State University athletes could be in some hot water after an investigation from police in State College. Members of the athletic department are believed to have been involved in a fraternity fight, though no names have been released at this time.
If charges are ultimately filed, the names will then be publicly announced.
State College Police say that the altercation between student-athletes and fraternity members took place on Sunday and ended with four people being sent to the hospital. Authorities reportedly have a video of the incident in question, according to
“Police are aware of the potential of Penn State student-athletes, in addition to Greek life members, being involved in this incident,” a press release stated. “University Athletics and Compliance officials are assisting with identifying involved parties. This is a serious matter that is being investigated. We will take appropriate steps based on the findings. We do not have any further comment at this time.”
The alleged incident occurred at the Delta Chi fraternity at around 2:00 a.m. local time. Delta Chi is located at 424 E Fairmount Ave in State College.
There are no other details at this time.
If student-athletes are identified and charged, we will have to see what punishment they are handed down by the athletic department.
