NJ Special Education Teacher Arrested & Charged For Sleeping With Student

Alexandra Reiner, a 30-year-old former special education teacher at Rancocas Valley Regional High School in New Jersey, has been arrested and charged after she allegedly had sex with an underage student.
According to reports, Reiner — from Eastampton, New Jersey — was arrested on Tuesday, January 29, and was charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. Both charges are second-degree felonies.
Investigators said that Reiner had sex with the unidentified team “several times” during December 2018 in the towns of Mount Holly and Lumberton.
The Mount Holly Police Department — who is leading the investigation along with the Burlington County prosecutor’s office — said that the investigation was launched last week when officials received a tip about a possible sexual relationship between Reiner and the teen.
At this time, investigators have not disclosed how old the victim was.
On Tuesday, January 29, Reiner was arrested and taken into custody at the Burlington County prosecutor’s office in Mount Holly before she was taken to Atlantic County Jail in Mays Landing, New Jersey.
She was scheduled to make her first court appearance on Wednesday, January 30. It is not clear if she has been released on bond.
