Year in and year out, the Super Bowl is dominated by the same crop of companies that consistently find ways to up their marketing game and steal the pop cultural conversation the next day.
Whether it be Doritos, Pepsi, GoDaddy, Old Spice, M&M’s, or Budweiser, the same handful of companies continually find ways to steal the headlines with ingenious marketing.
This year looks like its going to be no different, as Budweiser has already released their 2019 commercial, which is shaping up to be just as epic and emotional as ads from years past.
Not only does this year’s ad feature Budweiser’s iconic Clydesdales and the Budweiser Dalmatian, but it’s set to the classic tune “Blowin’ in the Wind” by Bob Dylan.
This isn’t Budweiser’s first-time essentially weaponizing a cute puppy in an advertisement, as both the 2014 and 2015 commercials featured an adorable golden retriever puppy to manipulate our emotions.
This year’s ad isn’t just all puppies and beer, though, as the “Wind Never Felt Better” commercial is used to promote the fact that Budweiser is now brewed with 100% renewable electricity from wind power.
Budweiser — in a partnership with Drift, a leader in the clean electricity space — will cover the first months’ worth of green power for anyone who signs up for one of Drift’s renewable power plans from now until February 7.
