SNL writer Sarah Beattie raised some eyebrows over the weekend with a scandalous offer in a since-deleted tweet. Like many Twitter users who love to jump in and be a part of the social media mob, Beattie was outraged by a short clip which showed Nick Sandmann, a junior at Covington Catholic High School, coming face-to-face with Native American activist and military veteran Nathan Phillips on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
There wasn’t much context, but the video showed Sandmann smirking in Phillips’ face as he banged on a drum.
People ran with the viral clip and began doxing the high school kids, labeling them as racists, and calling for them to be expelled because they were wearing “Make America Great Again” hats and were perceived to be “mocking” Phillips and other Native Americans in his group.
Beattie, however, had a different plan.
In a tweet that was quickly deleted, Beattie offered up some sexual favors to whoever found Sandmann and punched him in the face.
Okay, then.
As previously stated, Beattie deleted the tweet but everything lives on forever on the Internet.

Ignoring the offer for fellatio for a second, it turns out that the media’s initial account of the incident may have been wildly misrepresented.
According to Sandmann, and a nearly two-hour video that shows a broader picture of the incident, he and the Covington Catholic High School students were being harassed by a group identifying themselves as the Black Hebrew Israelites. You can watch the full video here.
In the video you can hear the students, who were reportedly waiting for a bus to pick them up, being bombarded with insults like “inbred” and “future school shooters,” while there were also some homophobic slurs calling the kids “f*ggots.”
At that time, Phillips got between the two groups.
Sandmann says that he held his ground and attempted to remain calm in order to de-escalate the situation.
