President Donald Trump is a strong advocate for a border wall. The border security discussion and conflict about where to find the funds to build the project, however, have led to a lengthy government shutdown that has lasted an entire pay cycle with neither Democrats, Republicans, nor the president ready to budge.
With the wall being such a hot topic of discussion, Comedy Central’s Daily Show decided to do some digging and unearthed a 2004 speech from then-reality star Donald Trump delivering the commencement address at Wagner College in Staten Island.
The speech carries a much different tone.
“If there’s a concrete wall in front of you, go through it, go over it, go around it,” Trump told graduates in the speech. “But get to the other side of that wall.”

Of course, you can go back years in the past and find videos of all politicians contradicting themselves. The fact is positions and opinions evolve, and we don’t always have the same ideas that we did dating back more than a decade.
That said, it is still entertaining and in today’s social media world you know that video will continue being circulated as it becomes more viral and used to troll the president and border wall advocates.
