Marvel’s The Punisher season 2 premiere is Friday, January 18th, 2019 on Netflix and I can’t wait to see the wild ride Frank Castle takes us on this time. If you don’t know, The Punisher is a show that focuses on the anti-hero with the same name. Viewers follow Frank Castle on his bloody campaign to rid as much evil of the world as possible.
Premise
This character was introduced on another Marvel/Netflix show Daredevil. Viewers learn that Castle had been on a crusade to kill every gang in New York City. His family had been murdered by someone from these gangs and he vows to get revenge. Matt Murdock, better known as Daredevil attempted to appeal to his humanity and stop his mission. It didn’t really take, and in his own show, we learn more about Castle and his previous work in the U.S. military and his survivor’s guilt.
The show balances Castle’s fight against his own inner demons and some of the bloodiest action sequences to ever take place in a show with Marvel’s name on it. After the epic conclusion that was the first season, we can only wonder what the second will bring us.

Most of the cast from season 1 will be returning. Jon Bernthal returns to reprise his role as the iconic one man army. Fans will also see some new faces that will bring about new conflicts for the Punisher. We can hardly wait as the trailers we’ve seen promise us new info about our favorite anti-hero. I’m counting down the days until Frank Castle graces my screen again.
