Fans are excited about the premiere of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia‘s 13th season, though fan favorite Dennis may or not be a part of this season. While cast members and press junkets have repeatedly stated that Glenn Howerton’s involvement in this season is a mystery, the gang is coming back together on September 5 and we could not be more thrilled. The long-running FX live-action comedy about a gang of dysfunctional sociopaths has been renewed through season 14, meaning this will not be the final season.
The season premiere episode, titled “The Gang Makes Paddy’s Great Again,” comes about a year and a half after the season 12 finale in which Dennis leaves the gang to pursue fatherhood across the country. Though subscribers to FX+, a brand new streaming service from FX Networks, were able to watch this episode several days early, those with traditional cable will have to wait until Wednesday night, September 5, to watch the premiere.
