The UCF Knights were all kinds of petty during the Alabama Crimson Tide‘s season-opener against the Louisville Cardinals at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Saturday, Sept. 1.
While the Crimson Tide are the defending College Football Playoff National Champions, it was the Knights who went undefeated during the 2017 season and claimed a national championship of their own. And you can be sure that UCF was ready to remind every person in attendance of their unbeaten campaign when Alabama rolled into town.
Terrin Waack, a college football writer for the Tuscaloosa News, took to social media to show off some grade-A trolling from the Knights.
The Knights created a special Snapchat location filter for the game which read: “Welcome to Orlando, Home of the 2017 champs.”

Well played, Knights.
The is just the latest example of pettiness and trolling from the Knights, who held a championship parade to celebrate their undefeated season and even unveiled national championship rings for their players and a banner to hang at the stadium.
As for their start to the 2018 season, UCF picked up where they left off in their first game under new head coach Josh Heupel, scoring a dominant 56-17 win over UConn in their season opener on Thursday, Aug. 30.
Next up for the Knights is a Saturday, Sept. 8 clash with South Carolina State in Week 2.
