The college football season is just around the corner, so the Football Writers Association of America and National Football Foundation have teamed up to release their FWAA-NFF Super 16 poll for the upcoming year. As you may have expected, defending national champion Alabama is the No. 1 team in the nation with an overwhelming number of first-place votes.
Rounding out the top five is Clemson, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Washington. Clemson and Georgia are the only two teams to receive first-place votes.
The Big Ten leads all conferences with five teams in the Preseason Super 16 Poll. The Pac-12 and SEC each have three while the ACC and Big 12 have two each. Notre Dame represents the lone independent.
