Rick Gates Net Worth As Of 2019: $25 Million
Rick Gates’ net worth is estimated to be around $25 million. Let’s take a look at his life and career over the years to see how he came so far!
The Early Years
Gates is the son of Richard W. Gates, Jr., a retired United States Army Lieutenant Colonel, who is also the founder and CEO of the Gates Group International. Growing up as something of a military brat, he grew up on many military installations throughout the United States, as well as overseas. He attended Prince George High School and the College of William & Mary, where he earned a degree in Government. He later earned a Master of Public Policy degree from George Washington University. Early in his career, Gates was an intern at the Washington, D.C., consulting firm Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly, where he worked with lobbyist Rick Davis. During this time, Gates worked with many notable figures, such as Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych and Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.
In late October 2017, Gates and Paul Manafort were indicted by a federal grand jury as part of the Special Counsel investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections and related matters. Both Manafort and Gates chose to plead not guilty at a court hearing later that same month. In February 2018, however, Gates pleaded guilty to one count of false statements and one count of conspiracy against the United States under a plea bargain that included an agreement to work the Mueller investigation.
In a court filing earlier this week, an FBI agent recounted how Gates snitched on Manafort’s clandestine effort to get people appointed to Trump’s new administration.
