Travis Scott dropped his newest album Astroworld on Friday, August 3rd, 2018. This is Scott’s first solo album since 2016 when he released Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight. Scott had announced that he would be releasing his album on his Twitter account to end the rumors that had been swirling asking when he would be releasing this much-anticipated album. Scott’s first full-length project was his self-released mixtape called, Owl Pharoah, in May of 2013. He was nominated for the BET Hip-Hop Award for Best Mixtape in 2013.
Scott’s, Antidote, was his first hit single reaching the top 20 of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. He won the BET Hip-Hop Award in 2016 for the People’s Champ Award for his single, Antidote. Antidote came from Scott’s first solo album, Rodeo, which was released in 2015. The Houston-born rapper released a collaborative album in 2017 with Quavo titled Huncho Jack but is on the verge of dropping his third solo album.
Astroworld is highly-anticipated as Scott left his fans wanting more music after his last album, Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, which went platinum. On this album, Scott had his first #1 album on the Billboard Top 200. Some of the songs most-liked by fans are “Goosebumps” with a feature from Kendrick Lamar, “Biebs in the Trap”, and “Outside”. Earlier this year, Scott released a single from the album called “Watch” featuring Kayne West and Lil Uzi Vert, which reached #16 on the Hot 100. Scott has also released a few other songs from his new album called “Stargazing”, and”Cryogenic” featuring Quavo.
