Roman McConn is a perfect example of the good in this world. The six-year-old boy from Texas started a foundation with his mother, Jennifer, which helps dogs that are being held in kill shelters in Texas. The foundation, “Project Freedom Ride,” helps the dogs in the Texas kill shelters find homes throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Through their organization, Roman and his mother have helped save more than 1,000 dogs from the shelters.
His heart-warming story was recently highlighted on CBS News.
The love for rescue dogs first started when Roman and Jennifer were out looking to find a pet for their home. It was then that they found the rescue dog Luna. Roman was upset that the other dogs at the shelter remained there when he expressed his desire to help them find homes. From then on, there was no looking back.
