The Early Years

Lovato was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the daughter of a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and a musician, and was raised in Dallas, Texas. She began her acting career at a young age by appearing on the children series, Barney & Friends, which films in Texas. She was homeschooled, ultimately earning her high school diploma in this way. In 2006, she had appearances in shows like Prison Break and Just Jordan.


In 2007, she started working with the Disney Channel, appearing on the short series, As The Bell Rings.
