‘Last Chance U,’ the Netflix hit show that follows around college football players who are looking to make the move from community college back to Division I, is set to return to Netflix later this summer for the third season. Season 3 will drop on July 20 and feature a new school.
The first two seasons of the show centered around East Mississippi Community College in Scuba, Mississippi, but season 3 will make the shift to Kansas to follow the Independence Community College Pirates who are coached by Jason Brown.
Independence Community College finished the 2017 college football season with a 9-2 record.
The Pirates won the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference championship and scored a win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in the Midwest Bowl. You can check out the full trailer for the upcoming season below.
Last Chance U is back for another season and this year, it’s a whole new field – as the series moves to Independence, Kansas! After years of losing seasons, Coach Jason Brown and the Independence Pirates vie for a spot amongst the best in the Junior College Football ranks.
The biggest name on the Independence Community College roster was former Florida State quarterback Malik Henry. Henry threw for 1,383 yards, 10 touchdowns and 8 interceptions on the season.
