Nas dropped his 12th studio album “Nasir” on Friday, June 15 at a special listening party in New York. The album was released by Mass Appeal Records and Def Jam Recordings. “Nasir” is the fourth of five albums that was produced by Kanye West on his ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and is the latest of 7-track projects to be released this summer.
The album follows Pusha T’s “Daytona,” Kanye’s “Ye,” Kanye and Kid Cudi’s “Kids See Ghosts,” and precedes the upcoming “KTSE” album from Teyana Taylor.
Every Kanye-produced project has been unveiled at special listening parties across the country with Pusha T and Nas debuting their albums in New York, Kanye’s party coming in Wyoming, and Kids See Ghosts being unveiled in Los Angeles.
“Nasir” is the follow-up to Nas’ 2012 “Life Is Good” album which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
