It’s almost that time of year again. Yes, the Men’s College World Series is almost upon us, but for now, we get to enjoy the always exciting Super-Regional tournament. Kicking off on June 8th, sixteen teams will be battling for their chance at a trip to Omaha. The matchups are as follows: Texas Tech vs Duke, Arkansas vs South Carolina, Texas vs Tennessee Tech, Cal St. Fullerton vs Washington, Vanderbilt vs Mississippi St., UNC vs Stetson, and Minnesota vs Oregon St. While all of these are big-time matchups, one of the most anticipated matchups of the Super-Regional has to be the Florida Gators taking on the Auburn Tigers in a series that will feature two of the top pitchers in all of College Baseball in Casey Mize and Brady Singer.
As mentioned, each team will be battling for a bid to Omaha where history goes to show, that when it comes to the final eight, anything can happen. The College World Series will begin on June 16th and run through the 26th or the 27th if necessary. All games will be available on ESPN and ESPN2.
