Draymond Green is an American basketball player who currently plays for the Golden State Warriors. Green is primarily a power forward, who was named to the NBA All-Defensive Team and won his first NBA Championship with the Warriors in 2015. Green was born on March 4, 1990, in Saginaw, Michigan. He attended Saginaw High School, where he played for coach Lou Dawkins. As a junior in 2006–07, he averaged 25 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three steals per game as he led Saginaw to the Class A State Championship and a 26–1 record. Before his senior season, in November 2007, Green committed to play college basketball at Michigan State.
Green played all four years at Michigan State. He would end his college career as one of three players in Michigan State history with over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. In his senior year, he averaged 16.2 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. He entered the NBA draft in 2012 and was selected 35th overall by the Golden State Warriors.
