The 2018 Met Gala is finally here! One of the most famous, exclusive events on the planet is held annually at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Attended by celebrities of all facets, from fashion to music, it is one of the most luxurious and private affairs that anyone can catch an invite to.
Every year has a theme for the event and this year is no different, with the Gala being catered around the motif of “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.” It is has proven to be a bit controversial, with some saying that the Met Gala shouldn’t be a place for religious iconography. Exhibit curator Andrew Bolton said the theme aimed to “raise deeper — and even more provocative — contemplations about the role dress plays within the Roman Catholic Church and the role the Roman Catholic Church plays within the fashionable imagination.”
Regardless of controversies, the Red Carpet is always exciting to watch so you can get all the need to know details on how to check it out right here.
