‘Shotgun Willie’ made the ‘bombshell’ announcement on Friday, February 16. And now the time has almost arrived for that special day. In what way?
Well, the album gets released two days before he turns 85-years-old and this 11-track album is described in the release as “one of Willie’s most personal and introspective albums to-date.” ‘Last Man Standing’ deals with not only themes of mortality and aging — but also watching good friends die. As I’m sure you recall — just a year ago — his latest album, ‘God’s Problem Child’, also dealt with loneliness and struggles.
