Jurgen Klopp, Mo Salah and the Reds of Liverpool travel to Manchester to take on Pep Guardiola, Kevin De Bruyne and Manchester City in the second leg of their Champions League quarterfinal match. Liverpool won the first meeting at Anfield last week by a score of 3-0.
While Liverpool holds the advantage going into the second leg, Manchester City, the soon-to-be Premier League champions, cannot be counted out as they are one of the highest scoring teams in world football. However, should Liverpool score an away goal today at the Etihad, Manchester City will need to score five goals. Their attack should see a boost, though, with the return of injured striker Sergio Aguero.
Liverpool will be without central midfielders Jordan Henderson (suspension) and Emre Can (injury) for the second leg, forcing Georginio Wijnaldum into the holdings midfielder role. However, despite coming off the pitch last week with an apparent groin injury, the Premier League’s leading scorer Mohamed Salah is all set to play in today’s pivotal second leg.
