As February inevitably approaches, college basketball programs that have serious aspirations of making and competing in the NCAA Tournament will have a difficult time ignoring the importance of bolstering their respective resumes. While winning a conference title is still and should be a high priority for every program in college basketball, there has to be a heightened sense of awareness when it comes to working towards being apart of one of the most watched and anticipated postseason sports events of the year. As bracketology rankings become more prevalent, teams will inevitably shift their focus to garnering the key wins needed to gain a boost up in their perceived seeding going into the tournament. Starting this week, the journey to the tournament will commence in earnest as a plethora of programs will attempt to make a name for themselves in the national spotlight.
