The inaugural season of the Overwatch league is gearing up for a massive splash in the e-sports world, and we couldn’t be more excited! Set to be “the next big thing in E-Sports,” the Overwatch league will pit 12 teams from around the globe in high-stakes competitive Overwatch matches for a shot at a grand prize of $1 million and to become the first World Champions of the Overwatch League.
Set from January to June, fans can tune into the official live stream to cheer on their favorite teams as they fight for victory! Split into two divisions (Atlantic and Pacific), the teams who make the top four in their respective division will make their way to the Postseason where they will duke it out in the Finals! Teams from places like New York, Dallas, London, Shanghai, and Seoul will all have players ready to bring home the gold!
Blizzard is committed to making the Overwatch League not only fun and exciting for everyone watching along at home but also by pushing the League to become the next significant “E-Sports” phenomenon, thanks to the millions of Overwatch fans and players! Overwatch League Teams:
The Overwatch League will be full of teams from all over the globe, with nine of the teams coming from the United States and the remaining three from the UK, China, and South Korea. Split into two divisions these twelve teams will duke it out until June for a spot in the finals and a chance to win the Grand Prize.
