Logan Paul is an American vlogger and actor, initially making his name on the now-defunct Vine, eventually transitioning to YouTube.
Despite his claim to fame being Vine, he’s been producing videos on YouTube since he was 10 years old, for a channel called Zoosh. Eventually, he garnered over 15 million subscribers on YouTube, with some of his videos getting up to 20 million views.
In time, he and his brother, Jake Paul, became icons in pop culture, with the latter appearing on Disney Channel’s Bizaardvark. For Logan’s part, he has also appeared in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Weird Loners, and the YouTube Red film, The Thinning. He also threw his hat into the screenwriting ring and has a digital TV series with Comcast called “Logan Paul Vs.”
In early 2018, Paul became a subject of controversy after uploading a video filmed within Japan’s Mount Fuji, also known as the “Suicide Forest.” During the video, Paul and his team come across a deceased man hanging from a tree. Although the man’s face was blurred, the rest of the body could be seen. Although Paul later issued an apology on social media and YouTube, many thought he took the situation too lightly and that it had been inappropriate to film in the infamous forest to begin with.
