NBC Is Reportedly Working On A Reboot Of 'The Office'

It was only a matter of time until the Hollywood reboot pandemic finally reached The Office. It was only a matter of time until something great came back way to fast…
Okay, we’ll admit, this one has us a little excited.
Yes, reboots are a symptom of an overall lack of creativity in Hollywood, but The Office is one of the funniest and most quotable shows of the past decade, so we’d be lying if we told you we weren’t at least curious about what NBC is planning.
According to Variety, NBC is in early talks to revive The Office, the hit comedy that ran from 2005-2013.  At this time, the only details known about the project are that the series’ original star Steve Carell would not be returning as Michael Scott, however, the show would “continue the misadventures of the officemates at the Dunder-Mifflin paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania.”

An NBC spokesperson declined to comment. TVLine first reported news of a possible revival.
Executive produced by Greg Daniels, the original NBC series “The Office,” based on the British show of the same name, ran from 2005 to 2013. It starred Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Craig Robinson, Mindy Kaling, and B.J. Novak among others. It received a total of 42 Emmy nominations during its run, winning five.

Furthermore, rumors have it that the search for a new Dunder Mifflin Regional is already underway.
The Office initially featured Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer and B. J. Novak as the main cast but underwent numerous changes to its ensemble cast during its award-winning eight-year run.
