Sony wasn’t lying earlier this week when they had announced that their Paris Games Week 2017 press conference would be like the “second half to E3”. At today’s press conference held in Paris, Sony made a whopping 32 announcements regarding the future of the Sony PlayStation family.
With announcements of games for both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation VR headset, Sony set out to remind Gamers why they chose to play on PlayStation and to give the public proper introductions for some of their best upcoming projects. Over the hour and 45 minute broadcast, Sony kept unveiling titles made for every type of gamer regardless of the type of gamer you are.
Newly announced titles like Sucker Punch’s new IP, Ghosts of Tsushima, follows the tale of a Samurai as he fights to defend his home from the Mongol Empire and Sony London Studio’s PlayStation VR exclusive title, Blood & Truth, which puts players in a fully realized and explosive spy action game! Other announcements like the reveal trailer for Insomniac’s upcoming Spider-Man game’s story campaign which shed first light on the story Insomniac will be telling in their take on the iconic hero and Sony also dropped a surprise and quite brutal trailer for the highly anticipated sequel, The Last of Us Part II.
Safe to say, Sony was messing around when they said they had announcements for this show and that it was going to be the “second half to E3”. With all these announcements, 2018 is already looking like a pretty stacked year in gaming!

The surprise sequel to the highly acclaimed 2013 action luchadore platformer is making an exclusive return to the Sony family in, Guacamelee 2!
The Hong Kong Massacre
Coming from Captain Rouge Productions and VRESKI, this top down highly stylized and interesting looking action shooter has significant influences from Blade Runner, Hotline Miami and Max Payne. With an art style this good, this is a must-play!
The Gardens Between
Developed by The Voxel Agents, this interesting puzzle game introduces time bending abilities to solve its puzzles and finish the story.
LocoRoco 2 Remastered
The cult classic puzzle game, LocoRoco 2, finally makes its way to home consoles after its release on PSP. This 2D music puzzle game will sink its hooks into players… and never let go!
Tennis World Tour
After a while of no significant Tennis games making its way to the PlayStation 4, Tennis World Tour is here to get players hooked on its tennis simulator gameplay!
Described as a VR action hero shooter in which players become an actual god, this new PSVR title will definitely get players hooked in some VR multiplayer!
Bow to Blood
This PSVR title has everything VR owners could want out of a VR multiplayer game: the ability to team up and work together while facing off against another airship trying to take you down.
The Sims 4 DLC
We knew that The Sims 4 was making its way to home consoles this November but fans of the game were dying to know if the already released DLC on PC would be available and well… it will be!
This interesting looking PSVR title unfortunately didn’t show off any gameplay, but its gorgeous art direction and interesting themes will have players coming around when it releases.
Resident Evil 7: Not A Hero DLC
Resident Evil 7 finally wraps up its story this year when the final DLC releases for the game. Starring series regular Chris Redfield, the DLC will have him facing off against the final Baker family member in a Saw-like game.
Another PSVR title that was announced during the show, this one features players serving orders of food to the hordes of the undead!
This unique and terrifying new PlayStation VR title comes out on October 31st, 2017 just in time to spooken up your Halloween! Using your real world sounds to alert enemies of your location, this game will definitely be one to scare you silly!
League of War: VR Arena
Not much is known about this new PSVR title but it seems to take players into a table top real-time-strategy game that can be fought online or locally.
Final Fantasy XV: Monster of the Deep
While it may not be the PSVR mode we were initially promised (was I the only one who wanted to be Prompto in VR?) but this new VR fishing mode set in FF XV’s world will definitely give fans a reason to come back and play!
Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis DLC
The final piece of Final Fantasy XV‘s DLC surrounding the three other members of Noctis’ party is finally here and aims to tell the story of the mysterious yet reliable Ignis. The DLC launches December 13th, 2017!
This artistic puzzle platforming game features dreamlike visuals and an interesting story of a child with ancient powers, best part is… it’s available now on the PlayStation Store!
The sequel to the hit indie darling, Spelunky, makes its debut at the Paris Games Week conference. Set in the future starring the daughter of the original’s main character, Spelunky 2 may shake things up when it takes to the skies! No release date was given.
Ghosts of Tsushima
Sucker Punch has finally unveiled the latest project they’ve been working on since the last InFamous title and their take on Feudal Japan and Samurai looks stunning and breathtaking!
This new and stunning PS4 exclusive title gives players the ability to create lush and beautiful landscapes with the help of a magic paintbrush.
The latest game in Sony’s PlayLink series of games which lets groups of players all play together using their smart devices. This latest game, from FlavourWorks, has a distinct full motion video style and plays exactly like a movie!
Blood & Truth
Sony London Studio’s next fully fledged VR title is one that VR owners have been wanting for a while, a balls to the wall action Spy game! Blood & Truth looks to throw players into this seedy world and fight their way out.
Far Cry 5
Ubisoft decided to use Sony’s stage at Paris Games Week to push the co-op component of their upcoming Far Cry 5! The co-op mode adds a friend to help you take back Montana from the crazy hillbillies.
Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris DLC
Sony decided to share to the public the release date of the already known DLC for Destiny 2. The DLC, Curse of Osiris, will launch on December 5th!
Monster Hunter World
In an interesting move made by Sony, the upcoming PS4 exclusive Monster Hunter World will be getting DLC to match the outfits and weapons of Horizon Zero Dawn star, Aloy.
Call of Duty: WWII
With the release of Call of Duty: WWII in a few short weeks, Activision showed off one of the first multiplayer maps that fans will be duking it out when the game launches!
