I remember when the ice cream truck would drive up on my block in Flushing, Queens. Children would circle the vehicle, longing for various treats, from Super Mario ice cream to extra sour Warheads. It was the late ’90s. Bill Clinton was president, and my tongue wasn’t yet accumulated to sucking on sour candy. A lot of the kids on my block loved Warheads. They’d get you more twisted than Monica Lewinsky going to the media…
