San Diego Comic-Con 2017: Schedule, Dates, Times & Tickets Details

2017 Comic-con San Diego brings together the top names in entertainment media for an insane showing with thousands of fans alongside their television, movie, and gaming idols, all in the hopes of getting sneak peeks at upcoming releases.
This year, big panels for shows like Stranger Things, Westworld, Star Trek Discovery, and Legion, along with movies from studios like 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros. Pictures and Marvel Studios will take center stage to bring fan-favorite exclusives and new announcements about the industry’s biggest names in media.
The event runs from Thursday, July 20 to Sunday, July 23 at the San Diego Convention Center. The preview night takes place the day before on Wednesday, July 19.
Tickets are sold out on their website, but plenty of online ticket scalpers are offering badges if you’re willing to pay a higher price for one.
We’ve gathered together some of the important events taking place at this year’s convention.


Wednesday, July 19:

A pilot for the show Deception and exclusive video presentations for the hyped-up series Krypton and Black Lightning to continue the Preview Night tradition. Aside from these, not many noteworthy announcements are scheduled to be made.


Thursday, July 20:

The real festivities of the show begin on Thursday at 11:30 A.M. with 20th Century Fox presenting in Hall H. Deadpool 2, X-Men: Dark Phoenix and New Mutants, highlighting their way of teasing their new comic book movies. We can also expect some other new blockbusters like Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Murder on the Orient Express. We’ll also see an appearance from Netflix Films starting at 3:15 P.M., bringing details about a new Death Note film based on the famous Japanese manga and an all-new action-thriller film, Bright, set in present-day where humans, orcs, elves and fairies have coexisted since the dawn of time.


Friday, July 21:

Hall H makes another splash appearance on Friday with a huge assortment of popular TV shows, including AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead scheduled between 11:15 A.M. and 12:15 P.M. Following this is a showing about the original AMC zombie story, The Walking Dead starting at 12:15 P.M., HBO steps in right afterward with announcements about blockbuster hits Game of Thrones and Preacher. Showtime squeezes a show in-between these two showings with a presentation on their critically-acclaimed Twin Peaks.


Saturday, July 22:

The big day for the event, Hall H sees Warner Bros. and Marvel Studios teasing their new films, with Warner Bros. having a two-hour panel with staff behind the DC Universe and Marvel Studios bringing Kevin Feige to make huge announcements about upcoming releases.
The day starts with a huge new showing on Hall H at 11:30 A.M. with Warner Bros. giving sneak peeks about some awesome new films, but we don’t know much else about what news they’ll be presenting specifically. We’ll look forward to see the DC Extended Universe though, including Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ezra Miller (The Flash) and Ray Fisher (Cyborg) confirmed to be participating in the event.
We may also see some new footage or news about the new Aquaman film from director James Wan, and Harrison Ford may find himself talking about the new Blade Runner 2049 movie with Ryan Gosling and several other co-stars.
Just after this, SyFy blows onto the scene to present on Krypton, the Man of Steel prequel series. At 2:00 P.M. actress Charlize Theron will be interviewed by Entertainment Weekly, and a panel with the crew behind Netflix’s hit show Stranger Things has a discussion about the creative process of making the show with some of the cast and production crew. Following this is the highly-anticipated sneak preview of the next season, set to release in October.
HBO’s Westworld follows this presentation with a Q&A session and a panel discussion at 4:15 P.M.
Marvel wraps up the big day starting at 5:30 P.M. with company president Kevin Feige making announcements about several new upcoming films including Black Panther and Thor: Ragnarok.


Sunday, July 23:

As the show winds down, the CW makes a splash on the show with its 13th season of Supernatural showcased after being announced to return Thursdays this coming fall at 7:00 P.M.CST on The CW. We’ll also see a panel discussion from the cast of Doctor Who and a sneak preview at the Doctor Who Christmas Special.
