The Latest ‘Game Of Thrones’ Trailer Is Here To Melt Your Face Off

||

via HBO

Winter has come, ladies and gentlemen.

HBO has unleashed another new trailer for Game of Thrones season seven, which debuts on July 16 (also fitting that today, June 21, is the summer solstice). Check the trailer out in all of its fiery dragon and icy snow zombie glory below.

This trailer firmly features the central conflict – those damn pesky Whitewalkers – and the main players it involves. Everyone from Sansa, Arya and Littlefinger to Jon Snow, Daenerys and the Lannisters will have to face what’s coming in one way or another.

After six seasons of flinging the main characters and plot lines to the far corners of Westeros and beyond, GoT is finally ready to start pulling everything back in for season seven. Daenerys has landed in Westeros at her ancestral home of Dragonstone (aptly named) and brings with her Tyrion Lannister, Theon and Yara Greyjoy, the Unsullied and a host of Dornish and Tyrell forces. Assuming Jon, Sansa, Littlefinger and the North get involved, this will bring all of the show’s biggest names together for one massively bloody conflict against Cersei and Co.

There is sure to be some family drama involved as well, especially with the recently crowned King in the North Jon Snow walking around as a secret Targaryen heir. He and Dany don’t know yet, but Bran does and it figures he’ll try to get that very crucial piece of information to someone pronto. Who woulda thunk that Jon has the best claim to that coveted seat of power of everyone?

Then again, the squabbles for the Iron Throne seem pretty petty when the Night King is planning to bring down all of humanity, amirite?
