World-famous actor Adam West died today in Los Angeles at the age of 88. He’s most famous for the comedic version of Batman from the 1960s. Later on, he played the wacky Mayor West on the hit cartoon sitcom Family Guy.

Adam began his career as a sidekick on the El Kini Popo Show in 1954. He later became the presenter of that program. In 1957, he appeared in his first film; an 82-minute horror flick known as Voodoo Island. West’s career lasted for over six decades.
