The momentum is all with the Washington Wizards after coming back to tie their series against the Boston Celtics at 2-2. Home court advantage has been the deciding factor so far between these two teams and neither has been able to win on the road. Game 5 could be a pivotal swing for either team.
If you look back to the four games the Celtics and Wizards played during the regular season, the trend of the home team winning was the same. If the Wizards want to win this series, they’re going to need to win at least one game on the road, while the Celtics would be in good shape as the one seed.
Overall, the last two games in Washington were barely competitive. The Wizards dominated the Celtics in both games, winning by scores of 116-89 and 121-102. John Wall and Bradley Beal have continued to be difference makers, and if they can keep this going, they’ll have a chance to win the series at home in Game 6.

The Celtics will be getting Kelly Olynyk back from his one game suspension. Boston will need to collect themselves for Game 5 and get back on track to avoid heading back to Washington down 3-2. Inconsistency and falling behind from scoring droughts have been the main factor in their past two losses. Isaiah Thomas will once again be looked at to help the team shift the momentum.
