Christopher 'Big Black' Boykin Passes Away At The Age Of 45


Rob & Big star Christopher “Big Black” Boykin has passed away at the age of 45.
Boykin, born January 13, 1972, in Raleigh, Mississippi, was an American entertainer and musician best known for his role on MTV’s Rob & Big, which followed Boykin and his co-star, skateboarder Rob Dyrdek.
Boykin, who previously served in the U.S. Navy, was Dyrdek’s best friend and bodyguard on Rob & Big, which ran from 2006 to 2008. Boykin also appeared on Dyrdek’s show Fantasy Factory.
Boykin also appeared in the skateboarding video games Skate and Skate 2. Boykin eventually had to leave Rob & Big due to some family matters, however, he made his comeback appearance on Fantasy Factory. He has also appeared on shows such as MTV Snack Off and Guy Code.
He is survived by his nine-year-old daughter.

His rep tells us Chris died Tuesday morning. No word on cause of death yet.
He was Rob’s best friend and bodyguard on their reality show, which ran from 2006 to 2008 — and also appeared on ‘Fantasy Factory.’
