The 2017 Kentucky Derby is set to kick off today, May 6, with 20 horses competing for immortality during the “Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports.”

This year’s race looks to be one without a clear frontrunner to the delight of gamblers everywhere. Sure, there are horses that inspire a great deal of confidence when you’re looking to lay a bet, but there aren’t any American Pharaohs or California Chromes this time out.
