Given the fact that I was born in 1993, I’ve always been more of a South Park kid than a The Simpsons guy.
It’s hard to fault me either: by the time I was conscious enough to understand The Simpsons, about 10 years old I guess, the show had already been around for almost 15 years. It was already an ‘old’ show. Meanwhile, South Park was just beginning to hit its socio-political-cultural stride.
So, yeah, I missed the boat on The Simpsons and probably will never catch it. That said, it doesn’t mean I won’t tune in once in a while, especially when they drop a heater of a teaser like this one.
In honor of Donnie Freedom’s first 100 days in office, it appears the legendary cartoon has POTUS fixed directly in its crosshairs for this Sunday’s episode. And based on the quick little teaser trailer they dropped on Twitter, it doesn’t look like it ends up too well for ole’ Spicey Boy.
But Spicer and Trump aren’t the only ones who seem like their in for a long night, as the preview shows Jared Kushner and Stephen Bannon strangling each other, Ivanka as the next Supreme Court Justice, replacing 84-year-old Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Let’s just hope none of these Simpsons predictions come true. Except Kushner and Bannon strangling each other — I think we could all live with that.
