There are a couple of occasions throughout the course of the year where the arts, politics, and everything else in American culture come together. One of those events is the TIME 100 Gala.
The 2017 TIME 100 Gala went down in New York on Tuesday, April 25, and all the world’s biggest stars came out to party.
From Demi Lovato to Megyn Kelly to Blake Lively and Margot Robbie, some of the world’s most beautiful people were in attendance last night. Now, while we weren’t lucky enough to be there, people with cameras were, so we’ll just have to live vicariously through these photos.
Enjoy and hope that one day you will be pretty enough/famous enough/influential enough to be invited to something like this.
What is TIME 100?
The ‘Time 100’ is an annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world assembled by the American news magazine Time. First published in 1999 as the result of a debate among American academics, politicians, and journalists, the list is now an annual event. Although appearing on the list is often seen as an honor, Time makes it clear that entrants are recognized for changing the world, regardless of the consequences of their actions.
The final list of influential individuals is exclusively chosen by Time editors with nominations coming from the TIME 100 alumni and the magazine’s international writing staff. Only the winner of the Reader’s Poll, conducted days before the official list is revealed, is chosen by the general public.
