If the Portland Trail Blazers want a chance to even their series with the top-seeded Golden State Warriors, then they need to bring the rain tonight. Kevin Durant, who put down 32 points in the opener, is now listed as questionable for Game 2 with a strained left calf. Damian Lillard boasted that Portland could win in six, but they’ll need to start winning tonight.
Durant missed a large portion of the final chapter of the regular season thanks to a knee injury. Although this latest ailment isn’t as serious, it could be enough to keep him out of Game 2. The advantage could go to the Trail Blazers after sticking around with the Warriors in Game 1.
Portland’s backcourt had no problem in the opener. Lillard and CJ McCollum combined for 75 points in the first game. To put that into perspective, the entire team scored 109 on the night. Stephen Curry finished with 29 points for the Warriors.
Durant, Draymond Green, and the rest of Golden State’s frontcourt were too much to overcome for the Trail Blazers. The Warriors have the best record for the NBA for a reason, and the Trail Blazers are going to need to find more offense from other players than McCollum and Lillard to attempt to tie the series before going back to Portland.
With Game 2 set to tip-off tonight at the ORACLE Arena, here’s all the ways to catch all the action tonight.
