San Francisco Giants vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Live Stream: How To Watch Opening Day Online

|

The second of three Opening Day games that will take place today is an NL West showdown between the San Francisco Giants and Arizona Diamondbacks. Last year, the Giants earned a Wild Card spot after finishing second in the division with an 87-75 record. San Francisco beat the New York Mets in the NL Wild Card Game, and then they were eliminated 3-1 by the Chicago Cubs in the NLDS.

While the Giants have made the playoffs four times in the past seven seasons and won three World Series over this same span, the Diamondbacks missed the postseason for the fifth straight year in 2016. Arizona finished in fourth place in the NL West with a disappointing 69-93 record.

Toeing the rubber for the Giants today is Madison Bumgarner. The 27-year-old southpaw is as consistent as they come, throwing at least 200 innings in each of the last six seasons while never having an ERA higher than 3.37. Last year, Bumgarner made his fourth All-Star team after going 15-9 with a 2.74 ERA and 1.03 WHIP while striking out 251 batters over 226.2 innings.

Taking the ball for the Diamondbacks is Zack Greinke. The 33-year-old righty had an uneven first year in Arizona, going 13-7 with a 4.37 ERA and 1.27 WHIP while striking out 134 batters over 158.2 innings. Despite his struggles in 2016, he’s still one of the most talented pitchers in baseball. Greinke has won a Cy Young Award, collected three Gold Gloves, and made three All-Star teams.

Now that the stage has been set, let’s breakdown all of the different ways you can watch the game.
