Nicki Minaj’s New Music Video Has The Minaj Staples: Horrible Audio & Fantastic Visuals

Nicki, Nicki, Nicki.

What a god damn shame the studios/the Illuminati/her own creativity are pissing her talent down the toilet because even seven years after its release, Nicki’s verse in “Monster” is still some of the hardest shit of all time. For those of you who are either too young or don’t remember (it’s been almost a DECADE since this song came out. Seriously, just euthanize me now.), “Monster” was a song by Kanye West back when Kanye was actually a legitimate genius.

I’m not the biggest rap guy on Earth, but I believe the kids call those “straight bars.”

Anyway, in the years since, the studios (or other nefarious groups, stay woke) have transitioned Minaj from less rap to more pop. And now, even when she does rap, it’s usually in a terrible song. I’m not sure when it happened maybe three years ago but rap is HORRIBLE these days. Short of Drake, Chance, Cole, Kendrick, and Kanye, rap these days just sounds like a bunch of Xanax’d out dudes mumbling their way through a drowsy beat.  This song by Gucci Mane, “Make Love,” is another prime example of that.

So just like most Nicki Minaj music videos these days, if you watch it on mute you might actually enjoy it.
