The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has been off the air since 1996, but the show has never strayed too far from the greater pop culture conversation thanks to Will Smith’s enduring (and endearing) star power. Exhibit A:
That’s why we’re going gaga for the mini cast reunion that took place at the beach recently.
Alfonso Ribeiro, who fans know as the lovably dorky Carlton, posted a picture to his Instagram account that featured Smith, Tatyana Ali (Ashley), Karyn Parson (Hilary), Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey), and Daphne Reid (Vivian) flashing smiles.

“Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family,” Ribeiro wrote. “Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete.”
Avery, who played Uncle Phil, passed away in 2013 after complications from heart surgery.
Fans went wild for the picture in the comments, with many expressing their love for the ’90s series. We agree with all of them. You weren’t cool unless you watched Smith’s shenanigans on The Fresh Prince. Knowing that the cast still gets together for a smile every now and then is the best news we’ve heard all week.
